Madeleine is a film, television and theatre actor.
Her versatile acting performances with major theater groups such as Dulaang U.
P., U. P. Repertory Company, U. P. Playwright’s Circle, New Voice Company
and Tanghalang Pilipino have polished her craft in both drama and comedy.
She performed at the Cultural Center of the
Philippines in the following productions: North Diversion Road, Mass,
Larawan/Portrait, Lysistrata, Buwan at Baril, Desaparesidos, El Sentido
del Indio and Immigration Blues ( both performed in Singapore), Sa,
Paglipas ng Dilim (a zarzuela performed in Canada), Mac Malicsi, TNT (
performed in Japan), Mga Gerilya ng Powell St., among others. She essayed
the role of Hecuba in Troyanas (Trojan Women). Her
other significant productions were The Vagina Monologues ( in English
and Filipino), Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, V-Day
Manila and One Billion Rising, Marsinah Accuses, Fili (performed in
Thailand), The Coffee Shop Within the Play (written and directed by
Naohiko Umewaka, a Japanese Noh master). She played Cory Aquino in the shows of
Willie Nepomuceno at the Kapihan sa Manila Hotel and Music Museum. Madeleine is
the lead actress in the short film, Pasahero directed by Mario “Max”
Celada. She is cast in the films, Captive, with French actress, Isabelle
Huppert, directed by Brillante Mendoza, and in Universal Studios’ Bourne
Legacy with Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weizs, directed by Tony Gilroy.
