Actors Company




MARCO VIAÑA 

MARCO is an Electronics Engineering graduate who decided to pursue a career in the performing arts. He is an alumnus of the Mapua Tekno Teatro and is currently a scholar of Tanghalang Pilipino’s Actors Company. His theater credits include “Anatomiya ng Korupsyon”, “Pinocchio”, “Gusto Mo Ba Maging Tao?”, ”Zsazsa Zaturnnah: Ze Muzikal”, “Kawala” (Virgin Labfest 7), “Kafatiran” (Virgin Labfest 7), “Bombita” (Nominated for Outstanding Male Lead Performance, Philstage Gawad Buhay), “Bakit Wala Nang Nagtatagpo sa Philcoa Oberpas?”, “Sipat Lawin”, as ensemble actor in “Battalia Royale”, “Mga Kuneho” (Virgin Labfest 8) and “Walang Sugat”. 

JONATHAN TADIOAN 

JONATHAN (a.k.a. Tad_ is a 4--time Philstage Gawad Buhay Award nominee. He finished his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications at the Far Eastern University and was a former member of FEU Theater Guild where he performed in productions like “Panangunot”, “Kumbensyon ng mga Halimaw”, “New Yorker in Tondo” and “Portrait of an Artist as Filipino”. He was also part of the staging of “Himala” in Shanghai as the Official Philippine Entry to the Asian Contemporary Theater Arts Festival. He has also done bit roles in the films “Tukso”, “Dollhouz”,”Musa”,”Hubad”, “Ang Paglilitis Kay Andres Bonifacio” and “Babae sa Septic Tank”. Tad also facilitates for Tanghalang Pilipino Summer Workshops on Creative Dramatics for Children. Tad has worked with notable directors like Herbert Go, Chris Millado, Floy Quintos, Roobak Valle, Loy Arcenas, Paul Morales, Dennis Marasigan, Tuxqs Rutaquio, Ana Valdez-Lim, Audie Gemora, Nestor Horfilla and Soxy Topacio. 

 DORAY DAYAO 

One of the newest scholars of Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company, Doray started her theater career in April 2012 when she enrolled in the Basic Acting Workshop at TP. Her first recital play was written by Layetta Bucoy and directed by Tuxqs Rutaquio, is entitled “May Isang Alamat”. She portrayed the role of Tagapagluto/Inay. As one of the current scholars of the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company, she has appeared in TP productions, such as “Pinocchio”, “Gusto Mo Ba Maging Tao?”, “Walang Sugat”, “Ibalong The Musical”, “Der Kaufmann”, “Sandosenang Sapatos”, “Walang Kukurap,” and “Jun Ispater” (a stage reading during the 2012 Virgin Labfest 9.) 

 NICOLO MAGNO 

NICOLO is currently a scholar under the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company and is currently enrolled in Malikhaing Pagsulat sa Filipino in UP Diliman. He was a delegate at the 2012 Asia-Pacific Bureau Drama Festival in Taipei, Taiwan and has previously done plays under Tanghalang Ateneo and Dulaang UP. His recent theater appearances under Tanghalang Pilipino include “Der Kaufmann” (as Bassanio), “San Andres B”, “A New Opera in Filipino”,”Ibalong The Musical” (as Baltog , both in the CCP and Legazpi City run), “Walang Kukurap” (as Santiago Jr.), and “Melanie “ a theater forum play on the campaign theme of HIV-AIDS awareness. 

 JOVANNI CADAG 
Jovanni ‘Bunny’ Cadag is a young performance artist whose credits include performances in theater, television, events, and short film. His acting career began when he was only 17 years old, educated by the 2010 Awards Nominee for Best Actor, Paul Jake Paule. He is a former member of Sining-Lahi Polyrepertory, the resident student theater company of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines. He is currently associated with Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company as a scholar. Bunny has appeared in “Pinocchio”, “Gusto Mo Ba Maging Tao?”, and “Walang Sugat”, “Ibalong The Musical”, “Sandosenang Sapatos” (Musical), “Walang Kukurap” and “Der Kaufmann”. His theater training and workshops include the 1st International University Theatre Association Festival / Conference / Workshop, Theatre Management Workshop (with Roobak Valle), Repertory Philippines (with Ms. Ana Abad Santos), LET’S DANCE (Ballet Workshop with the PUP Maharlika Dance Artists & Contemporary Dimensions) THEATRicks ( a seminar-workshop on basic acting & technical theater skills), an Acting Workshop with Roeder Camanag, and the PUP Sining-Lahi Polyrepertory Year-Long Theater Arts Workshop Batch 2008-2009 (facilitated by Mr. Paul Jake Paule).

 REGINA DE VERA 

REGINA De Vera graduated with honors from the Ateneo de Manila University. She was a recipient of the Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts and is currently part of the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company. Her notable performances include playing the role of Rhoda in “Walang Kukurap”, and as Carina in “Sandosenang Sapatos” (by Layeta Bucoy) in 2012, as Celia in Onofre Pagsanjan’s “Doon Po sa Amin “(Actor’s Company Recital 2013), as Portia in Rody Vera’s “Der Kaufmann “ (The Merchant of Venice/Ang Negosyante ng Venecia). Regina was the face of “Cinemalaya 9: Cinesthesia,” and the poster girl of Cinemalaya 2013. She has also modeled several works of artist/sculptor Leeroy New. Aside from acting, Regina hosted for the 9th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival Awards Night, as well as the opening ceremonies of the 4th National Theater Festival (2012). Regina has performed in musicals such as “Zsazsa Zaturnnah: Ze Muzikal” (2011), “Noli Me Tangere: The Musical” (2011), and “Walang Sugat” (2012). She played Arlene in “Sierra Lakes” (2011), Babae in “Bombita” (2011) for the Tony Perez Festival, and Leny Madlang-Buhay in Reuel Monlina Aguila’s “Maliw “(2012) directed by Chris Millado for Eyeball, and “New Visions in Philippine Theater”. She recently reprised her role as Angel in Rae Red’s “Kawala” for Virgin Labfest 8 Revisited and TP’s “Ibalong, The Musical”. 

 LHORVIE ANN M. NUEVO 

Lhorvie Ann M. Nuevo is currently a scholar under the Tanghalang Pilipino Actors Company and a Mass Communication Student of Cavite State University (CvSU) Main Campus. She is a former member of Student Artisté Society (StArS), her theatre organization at the said university. She has been a dancer and actress since 2009. Her theatre production credits include “Himala the Musical” by Ricky Lee in 2011 ,and “Josephine” directed by Nazer Salcedo in 2012. In 2013, she joined the cast of “Sandosenang Sapatos”, “Ibalong”, and “Der Kaufmann: Merchant of Venice”. 

ALDO VENCILAO 

Aldo’s passion for the theater arts started in high school where he actively participated in school plays and theater organizations. This continued on during his college days when he furthered his commitment to becoming a professional stage performing artist. It has always been his dream to perform at the CCP and be part of its company of passionate and talented resident artists. Having recently been accepted as a Tanghalang Pilipino scholar, he regards the opportunity as a huge learning experience that gets him miles closer to his goals of becoming a prolific stage artist. 

 JV IBESATE 

Prior to being accepted in the AC, JV was part of Njel De Mesa’s Palanca Award-winning play, “Subtext” (March 2013). He has also appeared in UP Repertory Company’s production of Liza Magtoto’s “Agnoia” (March 2013), and in Carlos Celdran’s “Livin’ la Vida Imelda”, which was restaged at the CCP last November 2012 as part of the 4th National Theater Festival, with a second restaging in February – March, 2013. JV was also part of Chancel Repertory Theatre’s touring musical production, “The Choice” (August 2012 – May 2013). His other theater credits include Shaharazade Theater Company’s “Drafts: Works in Process” (2012) at Ateneo De Manila University, the Palanca Award-winning play “Miss Dulce Extranjera o Ang Paghahanap kay Ms. B” under the UP Repertory Company (2011), Repertory Philippines’ “Jesus Christ Superstar” (2011), Claret School / UP Broadcasting Association’s “Langit-Lupa” (2010), Dulaang UP’s “Basilia ng Malolos” (2007), Comedie Franchise’ “Don Juan and Siganarelle” (2007), and MMQ Theatre’s “Medea” (2007). In college, he was a resident actor of UP Broadcasting Association’s Dulaang Kapiterya and The Diliman Classics (2005 – 2010). He has appeared on numerous short film productions at the UP College of Mass Communication, where he also obtained his BA Broadcast Communication degree. 

ANTONETTE GO 

Antonette’s past stage productions include “A Child of My Own” (actor), Playfest 2K11; Dula Salalle “Have Mercy” (Associate Director), “Unang Ulang ng Mayo” (lights execution), “Si Tonying ang Mahiwagang Aklat ng Kasaysayan” (actor, dramaturg and Chorus), Dulasalle 2012; Realidad “Ang Pigtas Kong Tsinelas” (director), and The Sky Over Dimas” (associate director, associate company manager and AVP designer/executioner). 

RAQUEL PAREÑO 

 Raquel is a fresh recruit in theater -- a field that she is just beginning to like and to enjoy doing. In her first stage play with TP as a scholar, she is not only acting, but singing, and dancing, too. Raquel maintains that her family, with a mother like the award-winning actress Gina Pareno, is the most important part of her life.
