CRIS began her singing career at age nine, performed on stage, film, and television as an actress, singer and recording artist. Theater credits: Les Miserables (little Cosette), Larawan (pasty), Five Woman Wearing the Same Dress (Frances), Alikabok (Bising Vallejo), Love’s Labor’s Lost ( Rosaline), Fiddler on the Roof (Hodel), Hamlet (2008 Gawad Buhay! Outsanding Featured Performance in a Play as Ophelia), Orosman at Zaifra (Zafira), Romeo and Bernadette ( Bernadette), Legally Blonde (Vivienne), A Little Night Music (Anne), The Joy Luck Club (Waverly), and Shakespeare in Hollywood (Lydia). Television and Film: Aawitan Kita, ASAP, SOP, and numerous television drama and musical specials. She made her Film debut in Fernando Poe Jr.’s Ang Dalubhasa. Solo album for BMG Records and One Smile at a Time, A Girl Can Dream for VIVA Records. Music Videos: hindi ko Masabi (1999 MTV Philippines Favorite Female Video Award), It’s You, The Problem is You (BMG), and Bago Mapagod ang Puso(VIVA), Kasali ka (Code NGO), The Jubilee Song (National Eucharistic Congress). That same year, she was featured in TIME (International Edition) as a Hero for the Planet. Cris graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in New York and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree with concentrations in Music, and Economic Development in 2006. Cris earned raves for her portrayal of Maria Clara in TP’s 2011 restaging of Noli Me Tangere, The Musical where she also won an Outstanding Female Lead Performance in an Musical (2011 PHILSTAGE Gawad Buhay ). Cris is a proud member of Philippine Theater Actors’ Guild.
