OPENING NIGHT AND GALA PERFORMANCE OF MGA AMA, MGA ANAK -- a successful start

MGA AMA, MGA ANAK premiered onstage at the Tanghalang Aurelio Tolentino (CCP Little Theater), on Friday, 21 February 2014, to a distinguished audience that included film icon Barbara Perez, award-winning screenwriter and playwright Pete Lacaba (who co-wrote the Pilipino translation of Nick Joaquin's english original " Fathers and Sons"), fashion luminaries Larry Leviste and Gang Gomez, TV broadcaster Mario Dumaual, and many others. The Gala Night performance featured Robert Arevalo in the role of Zacarias Monzon, the central character of the play. Many of those who've witnessed the opening night show marveled at the powerhouse cast of ensemble leads that gave life to possibly National Artist Nick Joaquin's greatest stage play ever written.
